A baby clothes shop in Blackheath is finally reopening after months of disputes with Thames Water.
JoJo Maman Bébé in Montpelier Vale has been closed since May, but is happy to announce it will be re-opening on January 26.
The store has been in dispute with Thames Water over the source of flooding in the basement.
JoJo’s team have been working tirelessly to resolve the issue, one which founder and MD Laura Tenison has had to take over to finally reach resolution.
She said: “We have been through a 10-month incident case which eventually found the source of the leak and resolved the issues.
"Hundreds of hours have been spent on communication with Thames Water and many thousands of pounds on getting the matter resolved but we’re finally ready to open again with our store looking better than ever.”
JoJo’s property manager Louise Jones said: “We’ve completely revised the layout which has allowed for extra wardrobe space in the kids and maternity departments, so there’s a bigger choice of JoJo designs are available.
"Of course, our fantastic facilities still include two changing rooms, a customer WC and nappy changing area.”
The reopening at 9.30am on January 26 will include giveaways and goody bags for customers.
Laura said she wanted to thank JoJo’s loyal customers for their continued support and interest in the store. “There was a lot of speculation in the local community that we had shut up shop, but we love our Blackheath customers and are just so sorry it’s all taken so long.
"I’d like to thank everyone for their patience and can’t wait to start helping the local community again.”
