A little boy spent his Boxing Day giving Bromley’s first responders treats after being left in tears when he learned they had to work during Christmas.
Danyal Mirza, five, thought it was unfair how he was allowed open presents while police officers and ambulance staff were busy working.
The boy, who recently moved to West Wickham from Beckenham, therefore visited Bromley South police station and the ambulance depot on Boxing Day to offer donuts.
His proud dad, Ronnie, told News Shopper: "We were waiting to pick up my wife from the train station and he saw police officers coming out.
"He asked me what they would be doing over Christmas and I explained that if they were all on holidays nobody would be here to protect us.
"He was very upset and wouldn’t move. Danyal was in tears so I told him we would bring them treats."
Little Danyal made his dad stick to the promise before taking a trip to Bromley South police station on Boxing Day morning.

The grateful officer came from behind the counter to sit with Danyal to thank him for thinking of them.
"Danyal was so happy," his dad said.
"He understood there was not enough treats for everybody but the first thing he said was 'when are we going to see the ambulance people.'"
After enjoying a film in the afternoon, Danyal insisted that they go back out to visit the ambulance depot before eating any dinner.
Ronnie said he was "overwhelmed" to the response his son’s kindness has inspired.
