THE annual Battle of Britain Memorial Service was held in St George's RAF Chapel of Remembrance at Biggin Hill on September 16.
On this very moving occasion, readings were given by Bromley mayor Councillor Pauline Tunnicliffe, and a cadet of 2427 Sqn ATC.
Air Commodore (Retd) John Bell, chairman of the Biggin Hill Branch of the RAF Association, repeated Sir Winston Churchill's historic words on the victory in 1940.
Chaplains from the Church of England and the Roman Catholic Church officiated.
