Something special is happening at Eltham Palace and Garden this December.
Throughout the festive month the grounds of the palace will be transformed into an illuminated world through light, colour and sound for the English Heritage’s ‘Enchanted’ season.
Visitors can embark on a charming winter trail as they discover the enchanting gardens and secrets hidden amongst the trees.
From holographic talking birds in ornate cages, to a friendly talking tree, you will be able to see and experience the grounds of Eltham Palace like never before.
Tunnels and pathways of fairy lights will provide the perfect backdrop for Instagram-worthy photos, as will the captivating light maze at the end of the trail.
There will also be an installation by artist Aowen Jin; UV balls will be scattered throughout the trail and hidden patterns inspired by Eltham Palace and its gardens will be revealed to visitors by torchlight.
And finally there will be traditional fairground stalls, a fire pit to toast marshmallows, festive food and drink, and heritage-inspired Christmas shopping to enjoy.
Enchanted Eltham Palace runs Thursdays-Sundays from December 6 to 23.
