News Shopper Camera Club photographers did us proud during November.
Proud was the word of the month as we asked club members to share photos of the places, views, people and anything else that make them feel most proud to live in SE London and north Kent.
For this theme, we wanted to see images of what people think makes this area stand out from everywhere else.
As per usual, many great entries were shared in the group but after some careful consideration there was one picture which just stood out from the rest to be our winner.
In the end, it was the photo of Greenwich’s historic and majestic buildings by Barry Lilburn which was chosen as the winning entry.
Barry will receive the £50 monthly prize and his image will also become the new cover photo for News Shopper’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
The News Shopper Camera Club is a group on Facebook for people looking to get their photos published online and in print.
Now with more than 730 members, the club invites people to share their best photos from around the area, as well as talk to fellow photographers, join in projects and enter our competitions.
If you’re an enthusiastic amateur snapper, you can request to join the group. Once accepted, you’ll be able to add your pictures to the group, join in the conversation and contests and also possibly have some of your photos used here in the newspaper or on our website.
December’s competition theme is ‘funny nature’ – we’re looking to see photos of animals being hilarious.
We also hope to see lots of Christmas photos during the month, and will be sharing some of those with you as December goes on.
