ARMY cadets from across Bexley have been having fun at a military training camp on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire.

The youngsters aged between 12 and 18 spent two weeks at the camp, which is the size of the Isle of Wight.

They took part in a mix of military and adventure activities as part of their annual summer camp.

Among the activities on offer were clay target shooting, canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing, archery and military exercises.

They also had the chance to ride in a Warrior tank.

This year, as part of an exchange programme, the cadets were joined by a group of 19 youngsters from Hong Kong.

Among the visitors during the two-week adventure were the mayor and mayoress of Bexley, Councillor Nigel Betts and his wife Hilary.
