An elderly man from Dartford said he had been "spoilt" on his 90th birthday after his care worker surprised him with a special lunch.
Ken Cordner, who has home visits from a Bluebird Care worker, was treated to fish and chips to celebrate reaching the milestone.
After lunch, he was presented with a birthday cake lit up with candles.
Mr Cordner's care worker, Gundami Ghale, has been working with him for more than two years, so wanted to organise a treat for his birthday.
She said: “When I learned that Ken was turning 90, I really wanted to do something to make his day so as I know he likes fish and chips I thought I would treat him.
“I am not only Ken's care assistant. I am his friend and we get along well, and always have a laugh.
"It was lovely to see the smile on Ken's face when I turned up with fish and chips.”
Ken said the lunch was a "lovely surprise" and that he felt "spoilt" by the attention.
He added: "My secret to living a long life is that you only live once, so you must enjoy it.”
