WELLING Round Table recently took on a community project for the Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice, led by Dave Grundy, the group's community service officer.
After working closely with the hospice, more than £5,000 was donated to provide 19 new LCD Freeview TVs, brackets and headphones for every room and patient in their care.
The charitable group spent five hours installing the new televisions.
Peter Butler, head of fundraising for the the hospice, wrote back to the group to thank everyone for their efforts.
He said: "The televisions will be a godsend to both patients and visitors alike.
"Once again thank you for your donation and your time in working with us."
Phil Keely, chairman of Welling Round Table, said "This was a really worthwhile cause for us to be involved with.
"Hopefully it will make a difference to the people who have to stay there and their families."
