Bromley is in full bloom as school wheelbarrow competition brings a splash of colour to the town centre.
37 green fingered youngsters have come together to design wheelbarrows which were put on display in Market Square.
The wheely pieces of art are now display all over Bromley in places like The Glades, The Railway Tavern and Coolings Garden Centre.
This is the second school wheelbarrow competition hosted by Your Bromley, the Business Improvement District for Bromley town centre.
Every school taking part was asked to decorate and plant a wheelbarrow that said something about their school, whether it used the school colours, represents its values or portrays a strength of the school.
Two judges, Frances Forrest of Your Bromley and Gary Carvosso of Cooling Garden Centre, selected the following winners in four different categories:
Most Creative: Wickham Common Primary School for their beach scene display
Best Interpretation of Theme: Darrick Wood Junior School for their ‘Aim High’ creation
Best Use of Colour: St Paul’s Cray CE Primary School for their nursery class’s rainbow barrow
Best Horticultural Display: St Mary’s Catholic Primary School for their 50th anniversary celebration
There is still a chance to vote for your favourite school by visiting your.bromley.com where you can view a picture of each entry and cast your vote in the People’s Choice award, which will be announced on Monday 23rd July.
The wheelbarrows will remain on display in a range of locations around Bromley Town Centre and at Coolings Garden Centre until Monday 16th July.
