A dramatic police chase ended with two police officers hospitalised a multi-car crash outside a hospice in Abbey Wood.
Police started chasing the driver down Bostall Hill just before 12.30pm today (May 29) after they failed to stop when flagged down, but the chase did not last very long.
Just outside Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice, the car being chased colliding with a second car.
That in turn then hit the chasing police car, leaving the runaway driver able to escape.
Two police officers and one member of the public had to be taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
Locals who saw the aftermath of the crash said the road outside the hospice often has cars parked on either side of the road, making it quite narrow.
Meanwhile the first driver fled the scene of the crash and their car was recovered nearby by investigating officers.
A spokesperson from Met Police said the Directorate of Professional Standard has been informed as is routine and the crash is being investigated.
