A main road has been partially closed after a car caught fire this afternoon (April 27).
The car was seen ablaze in Shooter's Hill, near the Woodlands Farm Trust, just before 1pm.
Police believe the fire was caused by a technical fault.
London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service have also been called but no injuries have been reported so far.
A spokeswoman from London Fire Brigade confirmed: "LFB was called at 12.45 to a car alight on Shooter's Hill in Plumstead.
"We sent one fire engine from East Greenwich Fire Station."
A spokeswoman from Met Police said: "We were called at 12.42 to a car fire by a member of the public.
"No injuries were reported, the person was fine.
"Police believe the fire was caused by a technical fault."
