February 9 is National Pizza Day so here are some of the best places to get your cheesy fix in south-east London.
Mamma Dough - Honor Oak Park
Here is the place for delicious sourdough pizzas with so many different toppings to choose from.
The pizzas are hand-rolled daily from Shipton organic rye, wholemeal and white flour and topped with things like goats cheese, caramelised onion, olives and walnuts.
It also sells a huge range of craft beers, and even make ginger ale on site. The coffee is roasted just across the river in Shoreditch.
Franco Manca - East Dulwich and Brixton
The first Franco Manca originated in Brixton Market and there would be queues that went right down the street.
It has now expanded all over London and luckily for those on the News Shopper patch there is one in East Dulwich.
They’re simple, yummy and inexpensive. The Gloucester Old Spot ham with mozzarella, buffalo ricotta, wild mushrooms and a little tomato is a particular favourite, and only £6.85.
Four Hundred Rabbits - Crystal Palace
Yummy sourdough pizzas with nothing but the best tomato sauces and served with seasonal toppings. Daily specials include the likes of smoked pig’s cheek, smoked Lincolnshire poacher, sweetcorn and pea shoots. They won’t break the bank either with pizzas from £6.
Bianco43 - Greenwich
From Greenwich this pizza restaurant has grown and now has a spot in Trafalgar Square and Blackheath. All dough is made in-house by expert pizza chefs using a special blend of flour.
All this effort makes for a rich, tasty crust and there’s quite a selection of toppings.
New Cross House - New Cross
These guys take their pizza very seriously, they have a wood fire pizza oven and you can even watch the chefs prepare and cook your pizza. How about the Bohemian? Lemon and artichoke base, baby spinach, vegan Parmesan, vegan ricotta, onions, kale, roasted cashews.

Sapore Vero - Beckenham
This pizza paradise promises real flavour and so it strives to make every single pizza perfect. It has a wood fired over to perfect that crispy base and melted cheese goodness.
Mario’s Pizzeria - Sidcup
This is the place to go for the full-on restaurant experience. Mario himself is said to be an amazing host and the pizza never disappoints. There are so many different toppings to choose from and the prices won’t break the bank.
