A man has been charged with the murder of a Thamesmead man after his body was found in an Ilford cemetery.
Seyed Khan went missing on January 24 when he left to go to work at A-Z Carpets in Ilford High Road.
He left the shop to take a call and was not seen or heard from afterwards.
The 49-year-old man's body was found at 12 noon on February 1 in the cemetery.
Imran Muhammad, 30, of Swindon Close in Ilford, was charged with the murder of Mr Khan and perverting the course of justice on February 3.
He appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today (February 5) and has been remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on February 7.
