A MILLWALL striker accused of gunning down a drug dealer in front of his girlfriend has walked free from court.
Gavin Grant was accused of being part of an armed gang which ambushed Jahmall Moore in north west London on January 13, 2005.
Mr Moore, 22, was shot at least 16 times as he walked to his car.
He named one of his killers as Roberto Parchment just before he died.
Mr Grant, aged 23, who had been shot during a previous confrontation with the victim's gang, was accused of conspiring with Parchment and others in arranging in the shooting.
But an Old Bailey jury yesterday cleared Mr Grant of a charge of conspiracy to murder.
Mr Grant insisted he was at his father's home at the time of the killing.
His friend Darren Mathurin, aged 26, from Stonebridge, north west London, was found guilty of conspiracy to murder and will be sentenced on September 5.
A third defendant Sean Bennett, aged 36, from Harlesden, will face a retrial after the jury failed to reach a decision.
Parchment, aged 25, from Harlesden, and Romain Whyte, aged 26, from Kenton, north west London, were both convicted and jailed for life for the murder of Mr Moore last year.
