A new Turkish restaurant is opening in Coney Hall.
The eatery will be a branch of El Kervan, which already has a restaurant in Queensway, Petts Wood.
The new El Kervan will be in 54 Croydon Road, in the place where Jinaan's Calcutta Indian Restaurant used to be. It is set to open some time in February.
El Kervan won a national takeaway award last week. Its Petts Wood branch has four out of five stars on TripAdvisor from 62 reviews.
On TripAdvisor Carlybutt29 said: “By far the nicest kebab take away I have ever had, the meat is so fresh and the portions are great!
“It's nice also to have rice with the meat also, would highly recommend to anyone! Great job guys.”
Co-owner Kerem Shukri said it will be more of a grill house than the Petts Wood restaurant, serving steak and chicken.
Mr Shukri said he was very excited about the opening of the new branch.
