Residents in Crayford will not have to wait much longer for the arrival of the much wanted post office.
The Crayford post office, in Crayford Road, closed in July 2016, and earlier this year a consultation was launched to find a new site.
The new branch, set to open in Crayford library, will open on Tuesday, December 5 at 1pm.
David Evennett, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, has welcomed the news.
Mr Evennett said: "Crayford needs a post office and the town has been disadvantaged since the closure of the previous branch.
"I have been campaigning vigorously with local councillors for a new branch to open in the town. This is brilliant news for local residents and local businesses.
“I also hope the new location will encourage even more people to use the fantastic facilities in Crayford library."
