A date for the opening of Abbey Wood station has been revealed by the council.
The station has been undergoing major redevelopment in preparation for the arrival of Crossrail next year.
The official opening of the station will be on October 23, according to a Bexley Council spokesman.
Southeastern services will be available to passengers with the north Kent line stopping there.
Abbey Wood's Crossrail station will be the first to open on the new Elizabeth line, expected to be fully open in December 2018.
Work started on Abbey Wood station in July 2016, and Crossrail predicts work testing the tannoys and drainage systems will be finished on October 31.
Once open the Elizabeth line will run trains from Abbey Wood to Canary Wharf, Bond Street, Paddington and Heathrow.
