A teenager has been stabbed near a supermarket in Belvedere.
Police said they were called to near Kwiksave supermarket in Picardy Street at 4.20pm on Tuesday following reports of a stabbing.
According to witnesses, the store was cordoned off and two police cars, two ambulances and a police van were nearby.
A spokesman for the Met said: "A man, believed to be in his teens, was found at the scene with a stab wound to his arm.
"He was taken to an east London hospital - his injuries are not believed to be life threatening."
The witness said a stunned crowd had gathered.
She said: "I pulled up as someone was being put in the ambulance. Police were taping off the shop.
"There were loads of people gathering so could not see much apart from blood around one of the shutter poles.
"All the shop keepers were outside as it's a parade of shops, they were all pretty stunned."
A Kwiksave employee said there had been a stabbing nearby.
Police confirmed today, October 11, that the teenager remains in a stable condition in hospital.
No arrests have been made and police are appealing for witnesses.
