A free sci-fi convention is coming to Bromley town centre this Saturday.

Sci Fi Bromley will host guest actors, writers, and illustrators and members of the cosplay community. There will also be exhibits and replica props.

The festival will be held in the Market square and the Glades.

Here is a timetable of the day's events:

10:00 - SCI FI market opens n Market Square;

11:00 - Retro gaming zone opens - featuring classic consoles to the latest VR technology;

12:00 - Prop making and design Q and A; and the creative process of prop building and people fascination with the art form;

13:00 - Welcoming The Mayor of Bromley

13.30 - The Puppet Makers show a fascinating insight into the creation of puppets and how it fits in with the genres of SCI FI and fantasy (tbc);

14:30 The Glades Level 1 to White Hart Slip - Film and TV guests

15:00 - Big screen documentary - Future Tense (H.G. Wells, the boy from Bromley who dared to dream...)

15.30pm Cosplay competition judging
