A unique treasure hunt is happening right now until the end of August, a first-time poetry treasure hunt via a virtual journey through English poetry that entrants can make from their sun lounger, curled up in bed or over a lunchtime sandwich at work.
People have to search online or in books amongst a treasure trove of English verse. The treasure hunt leads people to classic poets they already know and love or to those they will read for the first time. The entrance fee is £10 and all of the money will go towards Live Canon's work with children in schools and in library workshops.
Live Canon – one of Greenwich Theatre’s supported companies – will also hold their international poetry competition gala evening at Greenwich Theatre on Sunday, November 20, followed by a special Christmas concert on Monday, December 19.
