A Northfleet man has been charged with a child grooming offence after he was stopped by police at Bluewater Shopping Centre.
Mark McKenna, 38, of High Street, was confronted by a vigilante group dubbed ‘The Hunted One’ at Bluewater on August 6 and arrested by police.
He appeared before Medway magistrates two days later (August 8) charged with arranging the commission of a child sex offence.
News Shopper has previously interviewed members of The Hunted One, which claims to have exposed 25 paedophiles.
The hunter, who asked to remain anonymous, described the group as “concerned parents”, claiming they are not vigilantes.
Members believe their involvement led to McKenna’s arrest.
He will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on September 5.
