We have to assume the health and safety manager must be on holiday – it’s the only reason for this office being able to do the Olympics much better than yours.
Staff at Euroffice have really taken the start of the Games in Rio to heart, beginning with their own opening ceremony at which the flame was lit by mascot Pele the Parrot.
This was followed by the long-jump using a sand-filled pit in the boardroom, a chair race in the street outside their office and fencing which involved competitors using rulers with marker pens on the end.
Simon Drakeford, managing director of Whitechapel-based Euroffice, said he “knew that my social committee had a tendency to take things a bit too far” but was still surprised when he saw what had been planned.
Are you, your workmates or family going to similar lengths to celebrate the Olympics? Email here to send your pictures if you’ve think your efforts are more gold medal-worthy than this office.
