A man has been sprayed with a “noxious substance” in Gravesend after his door was smashed in.
It is reported that the man in his 50s was woken up at about 2am after a gang of three or four men started kicking a hole in his front door in Parrock Street.
He attempted to fend them off before they allegedly sprayed a substance through the hole, making his eyes sting on August 1.
He then set his house alarm off, causing the men to run away in the direction of William Street.
The suspects are described as being black, about 5ft 10in, of stocky build and wearing dark clothing.
They were also wearing hooded tops and face coverings.
