Ebbsfleet's stadium entrance
A 61-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer at an Ebbsfleet football match.
The man, from Brighton, was apprehended by Kent Police yesterday (May 8) as the Northfleet-based club beat Whitehawk on penalties to advance to the National League South play-off final.
Stewards were reportedly forced to enter the Whitehawk end at Ebbsfleet’s stadium, in Stonebridge Road, on several occasions due to crowd disruption.
The alleged offender has been bailed until July 20.
