Stefan Gates is the latest to join a stella speaker line-up that includes Myles Bremner, Stephanie Wood, Amanda Ursell, Olivier Blanc and Lesley Batchelor, at a schools food conference on 20 May.
Stefan, perhaps better known as The Gastronaut, is a television presenter, author and live performer who describes himself as a Food Adventurer.
Stefan does a live stage show at The Big Bang Fair each year. His shows are well known for providing an energetic, exhilarating yet hugely educational experience . This year’s show was entitled Gastronaut and the Quantum Mechanical Chocolate Factory and Stefan decided it would be cool to incorporate his robot Shirley into the performance.
Charlton Manor headteacher, Tim Baker, said: “We are very excited to welcome Stefan and Shirley to our Healthy Food in Education Conference on May 20, delegates can look forward to an energetic performance from Stefan, Shirley and his team!”
The school on Indus Road holds the annual food conference to inspire other schools to become healthy, food-growing and cooking schools.
