A Gravesend woman, who was found hanged in her family home, committed suicide, an inquest heard.
Kayley Fothergill, 29, of Thorn Lane, was found dead by her mother just after 2am on October 3.
It is thought she had died shortly before 8pm – after returning from a drinking session.
An inquest held in December at Gravesend Old Town Hall, heard Ms Fothergill’s stepfather Gary Hunt had raised her from the age of three.

Mr Hunt said: “She was a very sweet girl but lacked confidence in herself.
“She always felt she needed to drink to speak to people and feel confident.
“When you’re drunk you do things and say things you don’t mean - that one thought, was one too much.”
Mr Hunt made a request to the coroner to ask if details of the inquest could be kept private because the family intended to sell their house and he feared publication could adversely affect the sale and the price.
Senior Coroner Roger Hatch explained this was not something he could control.
The coroner recorded a verdict of suicide on February 23.
