Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze which destroyed a large patch of heathland yesterday evening (July 17).
Kent Fire and Rescue received the reports of a blaze on Dartford Heath just before 6pm, sending three fire engines to the scene.
The fire, which was extinguished by 7.20pm, affected approximately 150 by 100 metres of heathland and scrubland.

Crews used a fogging unit, a cold-cutting fire-fighting system, three hose reels jets and water from a hydrant to tackle the blaze and prevent it spreading further.
Kent Police were also on scene.
