A man was injured when his car crashed into a bollard and overturned in New Cross, this morning.
Emergency services were called at around 6.20am to reports of a collision on New Cross Road at the junction of Hatcham Park Road.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene before taking him to Kings College Hospital.
The road was blocked for around two and a half hours following the crash with drivers queuing back to Old Kent Road.
Motorists caught up in the delays posted pictures of the overturned vehicle and queuing traffic on Twitter.
Alongside a photo of the crash, DJ Just Geo said: "If you're late for work maybe don't drive through New Cross today."
