Organisers of a new farmers’ market in Woolwich say the first one was a sellout.
The Royal Arsenal Riverside market started on July 11 and will return every month with stalls from local and independent traders like Drings butchers and The Honest Loaf.
It was organised by Woolwich residents Emma Wheatley and James Yeomans of Hop Stuff Brewery, a growing business founded at the arsenal.
Support has also come from site developers Berkeley Homes.
Ms Wheatley said: ""We enjoy buying local produce and Berkeley’s support has provided us and the wider community a platform to do so right on our doorstep. We could not have asked for a better start and we hope people will enjoy coming back each month."
The market returns on August 8 and will continue to be held on the second Saturday of each month, 10am to 3pm, on No 1 Street.
