A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital following an assault outside a pub in New Cross on Saturday (July 11).
Police were called at 10.50pm to reports of an injured male outside the Marquis of Granby on New Cross Road.
London Ambulance Service also attended and paramedics treated the man at the scene before taking him to a south London hospital with a cut under his right eye.
He was later released.
Detective Constable Ben Lucas, of Lewisham CID said: "We are appealing for anyone with information to come forward who may have witnessed the incident outside the public house.
“The assault happened at a busy time during the evening.”
