French restaurant Café Rouge in Greenwich has unveiled its redesign, inspired by Greenwich Mean Time.
The décor uses Parisian clock features, murals and décor to bring some French romance to the centre of world time in the listed building, which was Greenwich’s first railway station and also maintains its original features and bespoke surroundings.
The 284-seat restaurant has also revamped its menu under executive chef Duncan McEwan and features French classics, includes snails in Ragout D’Escargots.
The Greenwich branch’s general manager Brahim Elayoubi said: “We’re really excited to be
revealing such a specialist new design here in Greenwich. We’re in one of the most famous places in the world and this makeover reflects that.
"Creating the right environment to enjoy our fantastic French food is really important.
"This fresh, romantic, vintage feel is the perfect atmosphere for sharing great food and drink with friends and loved ones. We look forward to welcoming Greenwich.”
