Fresh from a West End run of The Trials of Oscar Wilde, European Arts Company returns to Greenwich Theatre from Fri 29 May with a new adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray.
Written with Wilde’s grandson Merlin Holland the play is timed to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the story’s publication.
Set in the decadent world of Victorian London, a beautiful young man called Dorian Gray becomes infatuated by the exquisite portrait that Basil Hallward has painted of him. He makes a Faustian pact that he will remain forever young while the picture grows old.
Combining drawing-room comedy and gothic horror, The Picture of Dorian Gray is a gripping and hugely entertaining theatrical event.
Showing at Greenwich Theatre Fri 29-Sun 31 May 2015.
The performance on Sunday 31 May will be presented in aid of Stonewall, with 30% of the box office income donated to the charity.
Performance times: Fri & Sat 7.30pm, Sun 6pm
Ticket prices: £18.50 (Concessions £16), (£17.50 & £15 ticket plus £1 booking fee)
