A brand new retail addition to Plumstead Common will open its doors to the public on Tuesday, 16 June.
The new Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice charity shop on 182-184 Plumstead Common Road will adopt a very different design and feel to the Hospice’s current shops, with an exciting new urban-warehouse feel to the interior to encourage a broader range of customers.
“We’ve been trying to find a suitable site in this area for quite some time so this is quite a milestone for us,” said the Hospice’s Deputy Retail Manager, Mandy Brinkhurst.
“We’re very keen to become part of the Plumstead Common community so we’re busy planning the opening in partnership with Plumstead Manor School on Old Mill Road who will provide the music and entertainment on the day.”
The new shop, the Hospice’s 17th, will sell traditional charity shop items, as well as furniture and electrical goods.
*The Hospice is currently looking for all types of retail volunteers to join the new shop team, no previous experience needed as full training will be given, and all ages 16+ are welcome. To find out more please contact Mandy Brinkhurst on 020 8301 7042 or email mandybrinkhurst@gbch.org.uk.
“We can guarantee plenty of fun and laughter!” said Mandy.
