Would you beleaf it? A grumpy tree has been scaring residents of Blackheath.

Residents have complained that the tree is the root of all problems and is sapping the life out of the park.

The tree was twigged by resident Nikki Garrett outside Blackheath Halls, who tweeted: "Little wonders of nature spotted in Blackheath, short walk from Greenwich 'Grumpy tree' :)."

Earlier reports about the grumpy tree were dismissed as barking.
