A Belvedere bakery is running a unique "visual election poll", with "live cake graphs" in its shop window.
Flynn’s Bakery in Nuxley Road made a selection of red (Labour), yellow (Lib Dem), blue (Tory), green (Greens) and purple (ukip) cupcakes for their poll, which kicked off this morning (May 5).
Unlike most graphs, the colour with the least cakes left by Thursday will be the most popular one - showing that more cakes have been bought.
Shop manager Moya Flynn, 60, said: "It was just for a laugh really, to see if there was any reaction and which cupcake’s the most popular to buy.
"It’s just a bit of fun. We make cupcakes all the time."
With the general election being too close to call, Flynn’s - in Nuxley Road - hope to illustrate how the locals will vote through the medium of cupcake sales.
It costs just 80p to cast a vote and buy the election themed treats.
