A FIVE-year-old girl has died after collapsing at a children's play centre.
The youngster was playing at Gambado, Copers Cope Road, Beckenham, when the incident took place on March 22.
She was initially treated by a cardiac nurse who happened to be there because she was with her granddaughter.
Paramedics then took over and took her to Lewisham Hospital, High Street, Lewisham, where she was pronounced dead.
The results of the post-mortem examination had not been released at the time of going to press.
A Gambado spokesman said: "We understand the youngster had a heart condition.
"We had two full-time first-aiders on the site at the time.
"All the team were under enormous stress and acted extremely professionally.
"Our hearts absolutely go out to the family. It is a terrible tragedy."
