Gravesham Borough Council has given Ebbsfleet United the go-ahead to transform its home ground.
At a council meeting last night (April 8), the club was granted full planning permission for the redevelopment of the main stand at Stonebridge Road.
It was also given outline planning approval for the other three sides of the ground, after a unanimous council committee vote.
Building work at the ground is set to start at the end of May.
The club is set to complete the purchase of Stonebridge Road in the next seven days.
Dave Archer, general manager of Ebbsfleet United, told News Shopper: "Everyone at Ebbsfleet United is absolutely delighted to have received the unanimous vote from Gravesham Borough Council, that gives us the go-ahead to start work on this very exciting project.
"We hope to commence building work at the end of May, and it should be complete by the turn of the year."
