John Payne Estate Agents are sponsoring the 3rd annual Mini Marathon event for Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice on Sunday 19 April.
The Mini Marathon is a 2.62 mile ‘marathon’ for 5 to16 year olds around Royal Greenwich Park, the starting place for the Virgin London Marathon.
John Payne Estate Agents Manager, Doug Norris, said: We are delighted to support Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice. The annual Mini Marathon event helps to raise much-needed funds and increase awareness of Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice, the Hospice is such a vital part of the local community.”
John Payne staff will be among the more than 50 Hospice volunteers helping to make the event a success - handing out water, medals and exclusive John Payne goody bags.
“We’re looking forward to helping out on the day with many of our colleagues," said Doug.
Sarah O’Halloran, Fundraising Manager at Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice, said: “We are so thrilled to have John Payne Estate Agents as event sponsor for this year’s fantastic event. So far over 500 children have signed up making it one of our biggest fundraising events of the year.
“We are hoping to sign up 1,000 mini marathon runners and raise over £40,000; enough to enable our doctors and nurses to provide specialist care to our patients for one whole week.”
