A MIDDLE-AGED man was cut from his car after he crashed into a roundabout.

Dartford firefighters cut the roof off the car to help paramedics reach the man after the collision with the roundabout just off the A2, near Bean.

The man, thought to be in his fifties, was conscious as emergency service workers helped him about 1am this morning.

He was taken to Darent Valley Hospital.

A spokesman from Dartford fire station said: "He seemed to be alright."
