A HOSPICE celebrating its 40th anniversary has launched an online facility for bereaved relatives to remember their loved ones.

St Christopher's Hospice, Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham, has started a tribute page on its website.

It gives people a chance to post stories, memories, thoughts and pictures of someone who has died.

Relatives and friends can alsocreate an individual page for loved ones.

These can be kept private by using a password and only shared with friends and family or put on display for others to view.

The hospice's principal social worker Gill O'Halloran said: "Grief is individual, but most people benefit from finding a way to celebrate and remember the loved one who has died.

"Online memorials have a role in modern society for people of all ages due to their 24-hour accessibility."
