A NEW monthly drop-in centre is being launched for autistic adults and their carers.
It has been set up by Bexley Mencap following a review of the services by Bexley Council last year.
The review revealed a drop-in centre was needed and the council has been in talks with voluntary groups about creating one.
Bexley mayor Councillor Brian Beckwith will launch the centre, which is based at the Betty Tod Centre in Lesney Park Road, Erith, tomorrow between 10am and noon.
Erith and Thamesmead MP John Austin will be among the guests, together with carers and representatives from voluntary groups.
Following the launch, the drop-in sessions will be held on the third Monday of every month from 10am until noon at the Betty Tod Centre.
