A BABY girl who reportedly swallowed an ecstasy tablet has been released from hospital, say police.
The seven-month-old baby's condition was originally described as critical after paramedics picked her up from an address in Gravesend High Street on Monday at 7pm.
She was initially taken to Darent Valley Hospital and later transferred to St Thomas' Hospital, central London, where her condition improved.A spokesman from Kent Police said yesterday the baby was recovering.She was released from hospital today.
It is too early to say what the long-term effects of her condition could be, the spokesman said.
An 18-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs shortly afterwards.
A police spokesman said the woman was bailed Tuesday evening but did not have a return date.The baby was transfered back to Darent Valley Hospital yesterday.
