Edward Lear’s much-loved The Owl and the Pussycat came to life – in a sense – when youngsters visited a library.
At a craft workshop at Shirley library, families had great fun cutting, shaping, sticking to create a felt owl or cat badge to take home.
The library’s customer service supervisor Fiona Phillips said: “Our half-term activities are always very popular and they come back every holiday for more.
They do an event one week and they come back for a book the next week.”
