This spring sees Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice launch its third annual Great Big Community Cuppa campaign.
Local people are being invited to host a simple tea party at home, a get-together with colleagues in the office, or even run a bigger event for their local community.
This year, the campaign will run throughout the whole month of May and it’s all about bringing the community together over a cuppa to have some fun and raise much-needed funds for Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.
Last year the Cuppa saw school children run cake sales, colleagues compete in staff ‘bake off’ challenges, local police offering tea and cake while security marking bikes out in the community, nurses running a fully-loaded tea trolley around the hospice, and local Weight Watchers getting involved and enjoying some not-so-naughty treats.
“No matter how big or small the plans, by getting together with friends, and simply putting the kettle on, you can help us make sure we’re there for local people when they need us,” says Community Fundraiser, Megan Boyle.
“This year the campaign will run throughout the whole month of May, so circle your cuppa day in the diary and request your free supporter pack now!”
This year the campaign has been sponsored by Bella Italia who are opening a new Bexleyheath restaurant in March. Bella Italia will also be supporting the campaign with vouchers for cuppa hosts and prizes for top fundraisers.
