MUSEUM staff are putting the finishing touches to an exhibition with life-sized models of saber-toothed cats and a woolly mammoth.
Based on the BBC's hit series Walking with Beasts, the exhibition will be at the Horniman Museum in London Road, Forest Hill, by Saturday.
Visitors will be able to get up close to models of creatures which roamed the earth 65 million years ago and also take part in activities.
Families can create their own fossil footprints this Saturday and February 24 and make woolly mammoth puppets on February 12, February 13 and February 14.
Museum director Janet Vitmayer said: "The incredible thing is some of these creatures were walking around the London area before London even existed."
The exhibition runs until November 4.
