A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after a stabbing on New Year's Day.
Police were called to Pomeroy Street, New Cross, at 6.40pm to reports of a man in his 20s who had been stabbed.
The victim was found by officers suffering from a number of stab wounds and was taken to a south-east London hospital where his injuries are said to be non life threatening.
A 16-year-old male was arrested today (January 2) and is currently in custody at a south-east London police station.
This morning an alleyway beside a block of flats was cordoned off and police stood on guard as Southwark CID officers carried out their enquiries.
A neighbour, who didn't want to be named, said: "By the time the police and ambulance came it was all over. I don’t know much and I didn’t see much but I heard lots of shouting."
