A man has been charged with attempted knifepoint robbery on a Crystal Palace to Sydenham train.
John Thomas, of Hawthorn Crescent in Tooting, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday (December 8) accused of attempted robbery and possessing a bladed article.
The 47-year-old was remanded in custody until December 22 when he will make an appearance at Woolwich Crown Court.
A man was allegedly threatened with a knife onboard the train and asked to hand over his laptop, shoes and mobile phone on August 29.
The victim reportedly refused and was punched in the face before getting off the train at Sydenham.
