There are reports a man has collapsed in Orpington High Street from a suspected heart attack.
Witnesses claim a man collapsed after suffering a heart attack earlier this afternoon, just before 2pm.
Eyewitness Tom Coombs, 20, said: "He collapsed near Greggs, then everyone was rushing around him.
"The ambulance came and they were trying to resuscitate him for 15 minutes.
"They ripped his shirt open and were doing CPR and pumping his chest.
"Everyone was crowding around him. He was a big fellow about middle aged; he looked in his 30s or 40s.
"There was about six of them, police and ambulance [paramedics] taking it in turns to try and resuscitate him.”
The High Street was cordoned off for a short while but reopened later.
Accountant Mr Coombs, from Summer Hill in Chislehurst, added: "They put him on a stretcher in the back of the ambulance."
A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 1.36pm to reports of a person collapsed on Orpington High Street.
"We sent a single responder and an ambulance crew to the scene.
"We treated a man reported to be in his sixties in cardiac arrest.
"He was taken as a priority to Kings College Hospital."
