A 16-year-old boy from Belvedere has topped the podium in a Chatham go-karting competition.
Jack Goldsmith, from Elstree Gardens, won the 'Junior Rookie of the Year' competition at Buckmore Park on November 29.
Despite only taking up go-karting in February, the talented teenager will now take part in the junior championships at the park next year.
Dubbed as the competition 'all about finding the all-round sportsman,' Jack had to prove his worth in a number of tasks from time-keeping to safety and organisation as well as being a super star on the track to bag first prize.
Proud mum, Sharon said: "He's only been racing since February so it is amazing really.
"He's so pleased and I'm so proud of him.
