There's so much more to Dartford than its tunnel and tolls. Got an hour or so to spare? Whatever you're looking for, Dartford doesn't disappoint.
Bag a Bargain
The Priory Centre and the Orchards shopping centre are both great ways to spend any day in Dartford.
The Great Escape
If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the busy high street and shops, Central Park is a fantastic little retreat to sit in and watch the world go by.
Pitch Perfect
Princes Park, home of Dartford FC, is the perfect place to watch a football match, play some golf or rent out a pitch and show off your very own 'tekkers' but if sports isn't your bag, no fear, there's a great bar there too.
Time travel
The Dartford Borough Museum is a little capsule of local history. Small but perfectly formed, this museum is a real gem and definitely worth a look.
History hunt
Dotted around Dartford are heritage panels illustrating historical information and pictures of the Borough.
There are also blue plaques placed around Dartford celebrating events and figures from history, which include one outside Boots the Chemists, to commemorate Jane Austen's stay in Dartford. Jane Austen in Dartford High Street, who'd have thought it? Find a map of the trail online.
